I’ve been worried about the asbestos report.
If the report said there was asbestos in the walls, the Radical Reno would be dramatically reduced. It would have meant that the plumbing and the electrical and the drywall would have been prohibitively expensive and time consuming. In essence it would have gutted the reno. There would have been very little we could do. It would have been all window dressing and no substance.
Good news. The preliminary report says that there is asbestos in the floor of only one of the units, which was expected. None in the walls or the plaster.
Phew!
Join me in thanking Julie Moncrieff and North West Environmental for taking care of this! Now we can move forward with gusto! (Full report coming soon.)
