(Walk with him--if you dare!)
I will walk for 12 hours straight. Or until we raise $40,000 to support this amazing project. Join me and the HeroWork team. Donate or walk and fundraise yourself. We can do this TOGETHER!"

About the Project
This important project will empower IPS to address the need for reconciliation, rooted in Indigenous rights and title, colonization, stereotyping, and privilege. This need is reflected in the multi-generational trauma caused by the legacy of residential schools and the “60’s” scoop and continues through the prejudice and discrimination that Indigenous people face today.
HeroWork will revamp the training facility to accommodate 50 participants, including new breakout rooms. We will add washrooms and offices, improve lighting, soundproofing and air flow. There will be an overall redesign of the interior and exterior anchored in Indigenous people’s connection with the natural world, culture, values, and lifestyles that reflect not only Indigenous communities but Indigenous people as clients.
About HeroWork
HeroWork is a registered charity that transforms other charities by renovating their buildings through BIG community volunteer events we call “Radical Renovations,” which are akin to a “modern-day barn raising” or "extreme makeover."
Our goal is to renew and expand non-profit community infrastructure, so charities can become even more impactful, more innovated, more efficient, and therefore more sustainable, lifting up vulnerable populations.
HeroWork has completed millions of dollars’ worth of non-profit renovations throughout Greater Victoria. Organizations such as Our Place, Mustard Seed Food Bank, Power To Be, Salvation Army Addictions & Rehabilitation Centre and Rainbow Kitchen have all benefitted from HeroWork projects.
